Understanding your thoughts can be the beginning of change.

You don’t need to fully understand what’s happening to know that something doesn’t feel right. Many people arrive in therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or caught in patterns they can’t quite explain. Overthinking Together offers trauma-informed therapy for adults who want clarity, regulation, and support—without pressure to rush or “fix” themselves.

Many clients begin therapy knowing something is off, but without language for what they’re experiencing or why it keeps repeating. Thoughts may feel constant, intrusive, or exhausting—not because something is wrong with you, but because those thoughts often developed as responses to earlier experiences, stress, or trauma. Therapy at Overthinking Together focuses on understanding these patterns, learning how they formed, and exploring how they can be reshaped in ways that feel more supportive and grounded.

What Overthinking Means Here

At Overthinking Together, overthinking is not treated as a flaw to be eliminated or silenced. Instead, it is approached as a process worth understanding. Many patterns of thinking develop for meaningful reasons—often as ways of coping, protecting, or making sense of difficult experiences. Therapy focuses on curiosity rather than judgment, helping clients explore where beliefs originated, how they evolved over time, and how they continue to influence emotions, behaviors, and relationships.Rather than trying to stop thoughts altogether, the work centers on transforming how clients relate to them. This includes identifying unhelpful patterns, understanding their roots, and gradually reshaping them into perspectives that feel more accurate, compassionate, and supportive.

How I Can Support You

Dr. Andrea Rodriguez works with adults navigating a wide range of experiences, including but not limited to:

Therapy is individualized and collaborative, grounded primarily in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Sessions also integrate trauma-informed principles and skills-based approaches from DBT, ACT, narrative therapy, and other evidence-based frameworks as appropriate. The goal is not to apply a single technique, but to offer tools and understanding that align with each client’s needs, pace, and lived experience.

A Collaborative, Trauma-Informed Approach

Therapy at Overthinking Together is paced, collaborative, and grounded in mutual respect. There are no promises of being “fixed,” no pressure to move faster than feels safe, and no expectation that change must look the same for everyone. Instead, sessions focus on building understanding, developing emotional regulation skills, and supporting meaningful transformation over time.Clients are viewed as experts in their own lives. Therapy is a shared process—one that honors complexity, autonomy, and the realities of each individual’s circumstances.

Understanding often comes before change. Many clients find that once their experiences are named and contextualized, their symptoms feel less confusing and less isolating. From there, therapy can focus on identifying what is no longer serving them and exploring new ways of thinking, responding, and relating that feel more sustainable.

Accessible, Private Care

Overthinking Together is a fully remote private practice offering secure telehealth sessions only. This model allows for greater flexibility, privacy, and consistency of care, without the limitations often imposed by insurance systems.Services are self-pay, which supports individualized treatment planning and greater transparency. A limited number of reduced-fee slots are reserved for senior clients (60+) to support accessibility while maintaining ethical and sustainable practice boundaries.

Cultural & Language Considerations

Services are offered in both English and Spanish. Therapy is approached with respect for cultural context, family systems, and generational experiences that shape how people understand themselves and their challenges. Cultural awareness is integrated into the therapeutic process, recognizing that experiences of stress, trauma, and identity do not exist in isolation.
